Where do I even begin? From the moment we stepped on the boat to go to Lovango, we were speechless. First of all, the location is out of this world. Lovango is located in the U.S. Virgin Islands, just a short ferry ride away from St. Thomas and St. John. I felt like we were in Moana. I’m laughing because I couldn’t get the Moana soundtrack out of my head while we were there.

We chose to stay at Lovango for a few reasons for our 15th wedding anniversary. We knew we wanted to go somewhere that was a straight shot from Atlanta, that was on the water, good food, and a place where we could truly relax. Lovango checked all of those boxes and more. Lovango is part of family owned, Little Gem properties: The Nantucket and The Winnetu on Martha’s Vineyard. I mentioned on IG that you can use code ASH10 for 10% off your stay at any of their properties.

We flew into St. Thomas from Atlanta, an easy 3.5 hour flight. From St. Thomas, a driver picked us up that was arranged by the resort and 25 minutes later we were on the ferry to go to Lovango. The ferry ride to Lovango was unreal. The bright blue water, the lush green islands, ahh take me back!
We were greeted at the resort with rum punches, followed by a tour of the resort and ride to our room on a gator truck since the rooms are all situated on a hill. That was the most fun. If we wanted to go anywhere on the resort property and not walk, we would text for someone to come pick us up. We stayed in an Ocean View 1 Bedroom Villa that had the most gorgeous views of the ocean. We loved sitting on the porch in the mornings while drinking our coffee and watching the boats go by.

Our room was close to where a delicious continental breakfast was served each morning. We loved walking down the hill and just seeing all of the beautiful nature on the way. Speaking of food, we enjoyed so much incredible food while staying at Lovango. I was also impressed at how accommodating they were with my shellfish allergy.

Lovango has two restaurants on the property, The SandPit, which is more causal and their Waterfront restaurant that is open for dinner. They also do a casual dinner at the SandPit on Wednesday evenings with live music, stargazing and more. We enjoyed a poolside lunch in one of their pool cabanas and another day in a beach cabana. My favorite was the Taco Bowl with a yummy Pina Colada. Dinner at the Waterfront was so romantic and the staff just made us feel right at home.

You honestly never have to leave Lovango because there’s so much to do on the island. We enjoyed snorkeling at their beach, hiking, working out at their outdoor jungle gym, and just hanging by the pool. Since we were only staying for three days, we spent most of our time at the resort, but they did take us over to Honeymoon Beach one day for 2 hours. I highly recommend.

I can’t wait to go back to Lovango and I also have to say it would be a great getaway for the entire family. They are so accommodating with kids. Remember, you can use code ASH10 for 10% off of your stay at Lovango until the end of 2025. If you have questions about Lovango, don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
