Hello! How is everyone enjoying their summer so far? I feel like summer is racing by and I can’t wrap my head around that it’s almost July. The start of the summer for us was such a treat with a trip to Lovango in the US Virgin Islands to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. If you missed it, I wrote a blog post all about our stay here.

The rest of June was filled with camps, a whole lot of rain and a sinus infection that lingered on forever for me. Thank goodness for antibiotics. I’m feeling a lot better now, just waiting for this cough to go away at night.

Tomorrow, we head up to my favorite place, Upstate New York to see my family. I can’t wait to just be together and do all of our favorite things- walking to get coffee, berry picking, cooking together, our annual boat trip, so many things. I miss them so much and it doesn’t get easier living far away. We will be in New York for almost 2 weeks and then we will make our way to Vermont and Maine. We are doing close to the same trip we did last summer, but staying in New York first.

I am so looking forward to cooler weather and it made packing even more fun. I packed some of my favorite knits since it will be cooler in the mornings/evenings, especially in Maine. The mood board I created above with photos from our trips up north over the years inspired my packing too. I’m definitely leaning into the Americana vibes. Here are some things that I packed:

I’ll be posting some yummy recipes this week, one tomorrow with The Peach Truck and a recipe for lavender syrup. I’ve been getting iced lavender lattes while out and I thought why not make my own. I have so much lavender in the garden. It was surprisingly so easy.

I’ll also be posting a blog post all about our trip to the Bahamas. It’s long overdue. Okay, well I’m off to eat my bagel because it’s bagel Sunday! We have a new bagel shop down the street and it’s so good.

Have a lovely week, Ash.
